Understanding and Applying Risk Management in Operations and Finance
Understanding and Applying Risk Management in Operations and Finance will give attendees a review of the most common methodologies or processes used to identify and manage risks, in both operational and financial areas. It is a refresher course for those who have a solid grasp of risk management, and a good introduction to anyone wanting to understand what risk management is composed of, how it can be implemented, and what are the key tools and processes to ensure proper risk control techniques. It gives a holistic view of how to approach risks that any company, organisation or corporation needs to take in consideration, and ensuring there is a clearly understood risk to reward ratio, with proper mechanisms in place to mitigate any situation. Basic requirements to manage risk are also discussed, through dedicated personnel, specific legislation, and the right attitude and culture to manage such an intangible challenge every organisation faces, whilst avoiding its disastrous materialisation to the business in both the long or the short term.
